History:
This 280SE has been in the same family since new. It was purchased brand new by the current owner's grandfather in 1970 while living in Keimoes/Springbok/Upington (Northern Cape). After his passing in 1972, the car was driven minimally—mostly to church and tennis—by the owner’s grandmother and remained garaged and covered.
Ownership passed to the current owner in 2006, as the car had become too large for his aging grandmother. From 2006 to 2011, it was stored in a garage on the family farm on the Namibian border, driven just once a year to Port Elizabeth and back (2,200km round trip) without issue.
Since 2011, it has remained in PE, serving as a cherished and reliable weekend cruiser.
